Business Development Manager (Hunter) – Security Sector

The company is seeking a high-energy Business Development Manager – a true hunter – to drive new business growth across the UK security market. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build a book of business from scratch and directly impact the company’s next phase of expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and close new business aggressively across target sectors (student accommodation, residential, commercial, logistics, industrial)
- Identify and pursue tender/bid opportunities – experience with bids and tenders is highly desirable
- Build strong relationships with facilities managers, property developers, housing associations, and corporate decision-makers
- Pitch the company’s differentiated value proposition: superior training, incentivised officers, real-time technology, and proven tenant retention results
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing
- Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless contract handover
- Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and tender presentations
About you:
- Proven hunter track record closing new B2B business
- Experience with bids/tenders in security or facilities management
- Strong pipeline generation and prospecting skills
- Existing contacts in student accommodation, residential, or commercial property
- Ability to sell premium, high-value security solutions
- Knowledge of SIA licensing and security industry regulations
- Self-motivated, results-driven mindset
- Previous BDM role in security, facilities management, or related services
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Understanding of frameworks and council/property developer procurement
- Willingness to travel across the UK
- Track record winning contracts worth £50k+
