Norfolk and Waveney Urology Service is seeking a Consultant Urologist to join a well-established regional network of 24 Consultant colleagues delivering services across the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group.

The Role

This replacement post offers the opportunity to combine General Urology practice with specialist interests in Robotic Pelvic Oncology, Prostate Cancer Diagnostics and Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer within a cooperative regional service.

The role includes:

• General Urology outpatient and operative activity.
• Specialist Urological Oncology practice.
• Participation in cancer MDTs and multidisciplinary working.
• Teaching and supervision of junior doctors and medical students.
• Clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activity.
• Contribution to service development across the wider network.

Research, Innovation & Education

The department has an established record in prostate cancer, urological oncology and translational research, with active recruitment into national and international clinical trials. Strong links exist with the University of East Anglia and Norwich Research Park, providing excellent opportunities for Consultants wishing to pursue academic interests alongside clinical practice.

What We’re Looking For

• Full GMC Registration and entry on the Specialist Register.
• FRCS (Urol) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in General Urology and multidisciplinary team working.
• An interest in Robotic Pelvic Oncology, Prostate Cancer Diagnostics and Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer.
• A commitment to teaching, service development and high-quality patient care.
