Overview

As the Senior People Advisor you will be the first point of contact for HR matters, supporting managers, driving performance, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture. Reporting to the Head of People, you’ll support day-to-day operations and help lead key people initiatives across the business.

Description

  • Recruitment Support – Advise hiring managers, post job ads, and liaise with agencies to ensure smooth hiring processes.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding – Oversee contracts, right-to-work checks, references, and exit processes.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management – Handle day-to-day HR operations including probation, contract changes, and leave.
  • Employee Relations – Coach managers, manage ER cases fairly, and escalate complex issues when needed.
  • Policy & Process Development – Draft, update, and implement HR policies and people-related processes.
  • HR Systems & Payroll – Maintain accuracy of HRIS (HiBob) and support payroll processing and development.
  • Data & Reporting – Provide people analytics and insights to support decision-making.
  • Internal Communication – Manage employee communications and regular company updates.
  • Culture & Engagement – Plan employee events and drive initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Holiday & Absence Management – Oversee leave processes, reporting, and ensure compliance with policies.

Profile

A successful Senior People Advisor should have:

  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist Experience, preferably within the luxury retail sector.
  • Experience in small fast-paced and growing organisations (must have)
  • Proficient in HRIS (HiBob a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Relevant HR qualifications or certifications (e.g., CIPD).

Job Offer

  • Salary range of £42,000 to £45,000 per annum.
  • Employer-matched pension scheme at 4% contribution.
  • Hybrid work model with 1-2 days in the office each week, based SW London.
  • 22 days Annual Leave per year.
