Risk Lawyer – Bristol
*NEW* and exciting opportunity to join a Top 100 firm in their expanding Risk & Best Practice team.
This role involves supporting the Director of Risk in delivering top-tier risk and regulatory services across the firm.
The team ensures firm-wide compliance with legal and regulatory standards while promoting best practices internally and with external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on ethics, SRA standards, GDPR/data protection, and other regulations.
- Handling PI claims and complaints.
- Supporting client onboarding and reporting to the NCA.
- Reviewing and advising on contractual terms.
- Drafting and implementing policies and procedures.
- Leading risk and compliance training sessions.
- Assisting with insurance renewals and registrations.
- Participating in audits and inspections.
Ideal Candidate
- UK qualified solicitor or barrister
- Experience in law firm risk management (professional negligence or litigation background advantageous).
- Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and SRA standards.
- Ability to advise on contractual issues and identify potential claims.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and Microsoft applications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible approach.
- Effective teamwork and diplomatic skills.
- A professional and commercially aware demeanor.

Job Tenure: Permanent and Full-Time
Salary: £55000 – £70000 per annum
Location: Bristol, Bristol
