Description
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day running of the stock function within Dynamics NAV, ensuring real-time accuracy of stock levels and locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, unpicking production and stock transactions to ensure data accuracy and system compliance.
- Monitor production order cycles, identify discrepancies, and take corrective action including NCR (non-conformance) stock processing.
- Manage inventory transactions: receipting, consumption, corrections, movements, and cycle count journals.
- Oversee sales order and production order administration, warehouse shipments, and order fulfilment in NAV.
- Lead internal audits and stock compliance processes, verifying accuracy through cycle counts and reporting.
- Design, implement, and manage Jet Reports and other reporting tools to track inventory, system accuracy, and process integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve data flow and reporting across the business.
- Maintain and improve system processes by managing issue logs and liaising with external NAV support partners.
- Contribute to system upgrades, enhancements, and best-practice adoption across departments.
Profile
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (preferably NAV 2018) in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong understanding of stock and production order cycles, including component-based procurement and assembly.
- Demonstrated ability to fix transactional errors and manage database integrity within NAV.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with Jet Reports or similar reporting tools.
- Solid grasp of inventory control processes, warehouse management, and order fulfilment.
- Experience in internal audit, cycle counting, and inventory verification.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles relating to stock and cost movements.
- Proven ability to support operational teams, streamline workflows, and implement system improvements.
