Description
- Maintain accurate financial records for client property portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients, highlighting key financial insights
- Support year-end audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
- Prepare, review, and reconcile service charge budgets and actuals, ensuring transparency and accuracy
- Work closely with property managers to manage service charge expenditure and resolve queries
- Ensure timely collection and allocation of service charge payments
- Process rental income, monitor arrears, and support credit control efforts to minimise outstanding balances
- Ensure lease agreements are accurately reflected in financial records, including rent reviews and escalations
- Liaise with tenants and property managers to resolve rent-related issues
- Act as a key finance contact for property managers, clients, and external stakeholders
- Provide financial advice and support to operational teams to drive informed decision-making
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external consultants as required
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and client requirements
- Maintain accurate records for VAT, tax returns, and financial audits
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring strong internal controls are in place
- Continuously seek ways to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiencies
- Assist in system upgrades, data integrity checks, and finance system improvements
- Support automation initiatives to improve accuracy and reduce manual workload
- Attend to other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the line manager
Profile
A successful Client Accountant should have:
- A professional qualification in accounting or a related field.
- Previous Client accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
