Description

  • Maintain accurate financial records for client property portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients, highlighting key financial insights
  • Support year-end audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile service charge budgets and actuals, ensuring transparency and accuracy
  • Work closely with property managers to manage service charge expenditure and resolve queries
  • Ensure timely collection and allocation of service charge payments
  • Process rental income, monitor arrears, and support credit control efforts to minimise outstanding balances
  • Ensure lease agreements are accurately reflected in financial records, including rent reviews and escalations
  • Liaise with tenants and property managers to resolve rent-related issues
  • Act as a key finance contact for property managers, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Provide financial advice and support to operational teams to drive informed decision-making
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external consultants as required
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and client requirements
  • Maintain accurate records for VAT, tax returns, and financial audits
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring strong internal controls are in place
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiencies
  • Assist in system upgrades, data integrity checks, and finance system improvements
  • Support automation initiatives to improve accuracy and reduce manual workload
  • Attend to other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the line manager

Profile

A successful Client Accountant should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting or a related field.
  • Previous Client accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
