Overview
As CTO, you will join the leadership team to shape and execute the future vision of the marketplace platform. You will lead all technical aspects of the product, foster a high-performing engineering culture, and leverage technology to drive user growth, engagement, and monetisation at scale.
The role:
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, cross-functional group across engineering, DevOps, and product
- Own the product and tech roadmap and align technical strategy with business goals, customer needs, and market opportunities
- Enhance the marketplace experience, optimise search, discovery, and booking features to create a seamless and engaging user journey
- Drive continuous innovation, leverage AI, automation, and data insights to deliver personalised experiences and operational efficiencies
- Ensure security and scalability, architect robust, scalable systems that meet the demands of high-traffic, enterprise-grade applications.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and operations to shape go-to-market plans and support business growth.
Experience:
- Proven experience scaling a B2B/B2C SaaS or marketplace platform as CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent
- Deep expertise in modern cloud architecture, backend systems, and data-driven products
- Strong grasp of product thinking and customer experience
- Familiarity with AI/ML, search technologies, or geospatial data a plus
- You thrive in startup or scale-up environments, and you can operate strategically and get hands-on
- Inspirational leadership style with a track record of building and scaling agile teams
