Michael Page are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic organisation who are looking for a meticulous and organised Accounts Payable Assistant to manage and oversee the company’s accounts payable operations.

Description

The key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Assistant will include:

  • Administering all aspects of the accounts payable function
  • Processing invoices and reconciling billing statements
  • Liaising with suppliers and resolving any payment discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assisting with month-end closing activities
  • Participating in financial audits as required
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s financial policies and procedures
  • Providing administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department as needed

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:

  • Previous experience within an Accounts Payable role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software ideally Oracle and strong MS excel skills
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proven experience in an accounts payable role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary up to £28,000 per annum
  • Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days working remote
  • A working week of 37.5 hours, 9am – 5pm
