Overview
We are searching for a meticulous Finance Assistant to join our Accounting and Finance department in a medium sized public sector organisation, to start immediately on a 6 week contract with the opportunity to go permanent. This role is based in Warrington and requires a candidate with a keen eye for detail and a passion for financial accuracy.

Description
- Handle financial transactions and reports efficiently and accurately.
- Support the finance team in daily tasks including data entry.
- Assist in the preparation and management of budgets.
- Maintain records of invoices, payments and transactions.
- Review financial documents, invoices and contracts.
- Ensure all financial operations comply with regulations and law.
- Assist in presenting financial data to managers.
- Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
- A strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to the Not For Profit sector and the goals of the trust.
Job Offer
- £27,800 annual salary pro-rata.
- 30 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays.
